Maracanã in Rio de Janiero is one of the most famous soccer stadiums in Brasil. As a remarkable aspect the facade registered by the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage will remain intact. Keeping its original design, the renovation project included the complete demolition of the lower ring in order to build a new grandstand with better visibility, maximization of the monumental ramps and replacement of all seats, plus the installation of a new roof, which will capture rainwater for reuse. The GeoMax Zoom30 was used by the consortium formed by two large construction companies and its quality, performance and accuracy met all the consortium expectations.
