Data from INTERGEO’s visitor survey showed that overall attendance to the trade fair was over 17,000 - 10% up on 2013. Surveying equipment, GIS software and integrated surveying solutions were the key attractions, so no wonder then that the GeoMax stand was super busy!
One of the most popular demonstrations showed how GeoMax X-Pad, the popular field CAD software designed for handheld devices, runs on Google Glass. News that GeoMax plans to launch X-Pad Cloud in early 2015 was warmly received by visitors.
Another major attraction was the flexibility offered by the new Zipp20 - the first open Windows CE® Total Station from GeoMax to incorporate colour, touch screen and Bluetooth® technology.
With the freedom to run a choice of available software packages, and the openness for own developments, the GeoMax Zipp2O prompted enquiries from surveyors as well as visitors from industries with specific software requirements, such as landscaping, architects, GIS and BIM.
The robustness and the reliability of the Zenith25 Pro4 Receiver GNSS system’s Q-Lock™ technology proved popular too. Made for use in challenging environments the Zenith 25 Series tracks all satellites with the highest available signal strength and is built to withstand a 2m drop and complete submersion under water.
Feedback from INTERGEO indicates that visitors were impressed by the GeoMax approach, which combines new technologies with smarter, faster workflows, all aimed at making the geo-professional’s work life easier. |
